May 2023
- Beta-2 release (May 2022) of the portal database with Digital Science data, which in this beta version solely includes publication metadata
Imported Data
- Dimensions publication data with Danish country code from 2011 to date (year and country as defined by the data provider)
Data Enhancements
- Danish affiliation names from the set of Dimensions publication records are mapped to Danish Affiliations in a standardized form (NORA names) and grouped in categories like Universities, Private Research etc. This is an ongoing effort
- A re-organization of the Danish affiliations and -groupings were implemented in February 2023. New affiliation groupings added are: Artistic Higher Education Institutions, Business Academies, Governmental Institutions, Non-Profit Organizations and GTS Institutes
- UN SDG Classification is added based on Digital Science’s UN SDG classification from Dimensions as they are tagged on the individual Dimension record
- AU/NZ FoR Classification is added based on Digital Science’s FoR classification from Dimensions as they are tagged on the individual Dimensions record
- OECD Classification is added based on the official ANZSRC 2020 FoR correspondence to FORD 2015 mapping using Digital Science’s FoR Classification as they are tagged on the individual Dimensions record
- The Danish classification scheme DK Main Research Area is added based on a NORA mapping from Digital Science’s FoR Classification as they are tagged on the individual Dimensions record
- Collaboration Countries are mapped into Collaboration Regions of analytical interest, like OECD, EU etc. Regions are in standardized form (NORA names)
- Interlinking across all four databases (Matching Records in) has been implemented based on DOI-matching
- Digital Science’s Open Access types are mapped to a standardized NORA OA terminology
- Keywords are based on Digital Science’s Concepts as they are added on the individual Dimension record
Help and Guides
- Currently we provide in-context help in the form of mouse-overs and pop-up windows
- On the website you can find the presentation/webinar Introduction to NORA and Research Portal Denmark
Analytics Functionality
- Is being developed and will be added at a later stage
Imported Data
- When harvesting/importing publication data we rely on the country code(s) the data provider relates to the publication records – this means:
- Records with Danish affiliations, but no Danish country code are consequently not included in the NORA database
- Records with Denmark as a country code, but without any explicit Danish affiliations are consequently included in the NORA database
Danish Affiliation Names
- Mapping of Danish affiliation names to NORA standard names are primarily based on the normalization of these names in the context of the Digital Science’s GRID database.
- Danish affiliations without a GRID can be hard to identify as indeed being Danish owing to the way affiliation information is structured on the individual record level. Hence Danish affiliation name variants without a GRID is only in some instances mapped to a NORA name if the name variant occurs in a greater share of the publications
- Affiliations with country code Denmark, which in the mapping process are identified as falsely classified as Danish, will not be mapped to any Danish affiliation names or groupings
Filter Functionality
- Groups as a Contributors sub-filter is not available
- Languages as a filter is not available
Full Record View
- ISBN is not displayed
