The grant database in Research Portal Denmark displays key information on awarded research grants. The database is a collaboration between Research Portal Denmark and several Danish private and public funders, who supply metadata about a predefined set of grants. 

The grant database provides an overview and insight into:

• The distribution between public and private research funds
• Coverage of main areas, institutions etc.
• Development and trends over time
• The relationship between funding (input) and research publications (output) at the individual level

The grant database provides a search interface and various filters that can be used to delimit grants of interest, just as it is possible to export metadata for further local analytical use.

Initially, the overview is a prototype with selected data variables and fund data. During 2024, several funders’ data will be incorporated.
