Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF)
DFF was created by the Danish parliament in 2004 with the primary aim of supporting and promoting the most original ideas and initiatives within Danish research. Moreover, the Fund provides advice in all scientific areas for the Danish Minister for Higher Education and Science, the Danish Parliament and the government.
DFF funds specific research activities based on researchers’ own initiatives, both in open and thematic calls.
DFF receives an annual grant from the Danish parliament in each year’s annual budget. In 2023 DFF’s budget totaled more than 1,7 BDKK.
