For a brighter world
The Villum Foundation supports technical and scientific research and education, as well as environmental, social, and cultural purposes in Denmark and abroad. We were founded by civil engineer Villum Kann Rasmussen – the inventor of the VELUX window and founder of VKR Holding A/S.
In 2023 the foundation granted 1,118 MDKK in total: Technical and Natural Sciences (696 MDKK); Children, Youth and Science in Denmark (135 MDKK); Environment and climate (125 MDKK); European Youth and Education (100 MDKK); Culture and Society (51 MDKK).
