There is a lot going on in the NORA team and with Research Portal Denmark – we continuously update and expand our services, launch new development initiatives, and have plenty of information we would like to share with our users. We regularly publish news on this page as well as communicating what Research Portal Denmark is all about and what you can use it for. We communicate through events of our own and in addition, you can meet us at conferences, workshops etc. where we regularly present Research Portal Denmark.
A few times a year, we collect all the most important news in a newsletter, which we than distribute through our mailing list. The newsletter is, of course, published in both Danish and English. If you have not yet signed up for our mailing list, do not hesitate to subscribe to our newsletter – then you are guaranteed the exciting news directly in your inbox.

Presentation of the Portal for the National Licensing Consortium
Dicte Madsen and Nikoline Dohm Lauridsen will give a presentation on Research Portal Denmark in connection with the Dialogue Forum - a forum for the members of the Danish national licensing consortium on April 29, 2025. The presentation will be an introduction to what NORA and the portal are, as well as how the portal's services can be used - with a particular focus on licensing work and the Open Access agenda.

Nordic focus on open research infrastructures
The NORA team participates in the conference "The 2nd Nordic Bibliometric Infrastructure Spring Meeting" on April 7-8, 2025. Here, both the portal's open infrastructure will be presented, and Mogens Sandfær will participate in the panel debate "From Barcelona to Gothenburg: Nordic cooperation on open data for research system analysis"

NORA Presentation - Research Seminar

NORA presents the Portal for A Research Committee
Dicte Madsen and Nikoline Dohm Lauridsen will give a presentation about the Danish Research Portal in connection with the Faculty of Humanities (Copenhagen University) research committee seminar on March 7, 2025. The topics for the presentation include the extent to which humanities research activities and outputs are registered and displayed in the portal, as well as how humanities research environments across the country can be involved in the discussion of the future design of the Portal.

News from Research Portal Denmark
We are looking forward to 2025 in the NORA team. It will be an exciting year, starting with a move back to Lyngby Campus after four great years in the more rural surroundings of Risø near Roskilde. The moving boxes are unpacked, and as always, we have rolled up our sleeves to ensure stable operations and further development of Research Portal Denmark. Read more in the first Newsletter of 2025.
More publications and new filters

Expansion of the Portal - more publications and new filters
Research Portal Denmark's publication database, Local Data, now also includes publications from The National Research Center for the Working Environment (NFA). This addition provides users access to an even broader range of Danish research output. Further, two new filters have been implemented in the database: 'Publisher' and 'Corresponding Author'. This makes it easier for users to find relevant information among the many metadata the portal displays from various Danish research institutions. The enhancements are part of a larger expansion, made possible by last year's update of the national DDF-MXD format.

Summer News from Research Portal Denmark
Welcome back from the summer holidays! The NORA team is back at the office and looking forward to the tasks and plans of autumn, which include planning a start-up meeting of FORAN, a first prototype of a grants- and funders database, further development of the green research module, and not the least the inclusion of OpenAlex data as part of the data foundation for the portal’s publication databases.
